According to the release from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Minister Bochvarski presented to Minister Mitrović the Law on Urbanism as part of the reformed legislation regulating urban planning.
“With this law,” Bochvarski said, “we have established new rules for the inclusion, transparency, expertise, and accountability of all stakeholders in the process of developing, adopting, implementing and overseeing urban plans, which is a step forward toward resolving issues in urbanism.”
Bochvarski and Mitrović also broached the topic of the country’s ongoing digitalization of the process of issuing construction permits, the release adds.
The two ministers agreed that their cooperation in urban planning would continue through exchanging experiences and solutions applicable in both countries. mr/
