Skopje, 9 November 2022 (MIA) - Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski met Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in the country, Angel Angelov and discussed regional connectivity and boosting mutual cooperation. Minister Bochvarski said that mutual cooperation should be intensified in the coming period, especially because, as he said, we live in a time of a world economic and energy crisis that requires positive relations and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries in order to reduce its effects. He also underlined that the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is strongly committed to the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects, especially the construction and modernization of the road and railway Corridor VIII, which represents a bridge connecting the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a press release. Ambassador Angelov expressed confidence in strengthening the cooperation that will bring significant benefits to both countries and especially to the citizens. They agreed that joint efforts and mutual support are excellent foundations for the continued development of both countries and the region, improving the quality of life and developing the regional economy.
