Boban Ilioski and Milijana Relikj scoop 2024 Athletes of the Year awards

Skopje, 25 December 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Sport presented late Wednesday the 2024 Athletes of the Year awards, with Boban Ilioski - kickboxing Muay Thai and Milijana Relikj - taekwondo receiving the top gongs.
Ilioski became European champion in the -86kg category at this year's championships in Athens, while Relikj made it to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Silvio Mirovski (kickboxing Muay Thai) received the young athlete award after he became world champion in the -71kg category in Budapest, while handball player Iva Mladenovska scooped the award in the female section.
The men's and women's national handball teams are the best teams, while the men's national handball team manager Kiril Lazarov is the best coach.
Olivera Nakovska Bikova is the best athlete with a disability, after she recorded two top-ten finishes at this year's Paris Paralympic Games.
