Washington, 21 May 2022 (dpa/MIA) - US President Joe Biden signed into law a billion-dollar aid package for Ukraine during a visit to South Korea, the White House announced. The news comes after the US Congress passed the package of almost $40 billion to "respond to the situation in, and for assistance to, Ukraine." Some $6 billion are earmarked for direct military assistance to Ukraine, while other funds are set for humanitarian aid for refugees, among other things.
