Berovo, 26 August 2024 (MIA) — Berovo's 14th annual Etno Square Festival closed with an open-air concert by Croatian singer Jelena Rozga at the town square, MIA's Delchevo correspondent reports.
Opening acts for the regional pop star were Macedonian singer Filip Pecovski and local musicians Ivan and Angel.
"Berovo last night was the epicenter of the world," Berovo Mayor Zlatko Pekeski said. "Jelena Rozga with her spectacular performance in Berovo, in front of a large audience — young and old — created an atmosphere to remember and a visual spectrum of colors we will remember her for and spread good vibes for a long time."
The festival was held as part of Berovo Liberation Day festivities, which also included the "Malesh Region in Your Palm" fair of traditional local products.
Following the three-day event, Berovo is preparing to celebrate Aug. 28, the Christian holiday of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the town's patron saint. mr/
