Yerevan, 11 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia national football team beat Armenia 5:0 in a World Cup qualifier in Yerevan on Thursday, with captain Enis Bardhi scoring a hat-trick in the process. Aleksandar Trajkovski opened the scoring in the 22. minute, while Bardhi doubled the lead in the 36. In the second half, Bardhi scored his second goal from the penalty spot in the 66. minute, while Milan Ristovski found the net after a counterattack in the 79. Bardhi completed the hat trick after converting another penalty in the 89. minute. North Macedonia is second in the Group J standings and is still in the mix for a spot in the World Cup play-offs with one match to go. Germany has already qualified for Qatar as the top-ranked team in the group.
