Skopje, 22 July 2022 (MIA) — North Macedonia's average monthly salary in May 2022 was 9.4 percent higher than in May 2021, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office. This increase was a result of raises given to employees in the hospitality industry (19.7%), arts, entertainment and recreation (16.1%) and manufacturing (14.3%). Average monthly net wage decreases in May 2022, compared to April 2022, were recorded in health care and social work (10.8%), wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (2.1%) and administrative and support services (1.4%). The average monthly net salary paid per employee in May 2022 was 31,407 denars (EUR 510). mr/
