Sydney, 26 August 2022 (dpa/MIA) - Four men were arrested after Australian police found more than 190 kilograms of drugs concealed in a vintage Bentley shipped from Canada to Australia. Australian police on Friday said they found 161 kilograms of methylamphetamine, also known as meth or ice, and 30 kilograms of cocaine concealed behind the headlights of the vintage vehicle, which had arrived in Sydney from Canada via sea cargo earlier in August. In total, the drugs have an estimated potential street value of 155 million Australian dollars (108 million US dollars), police said. New South Wales police said that three men and a woman were arrested and charged over their alleged involvement in the importation. Also on Friday, the Australian Border Force (ABF) announced Australia's largest ever seizure of meth. The ABF, which last week said it found 748 kilograms of meth concealed within marble stone in sea cargo containers from the United Arab Emirates, said an examination of more containers at Sydney's Port Botany found a further 1,060 kilograms of the drug concealed in the same fashion. The total haul was more than 1,800 kilograms, New South Wales police's acting chief superintendent John Watson said on Friday. "This is now the largest 'ice' bust in Australian history," Watson said.
