Tehran, 3 November 2023 (dpa/MIA) - At least 32 people were killed and 16 others injured in a fire at a drug rehabilitation clinic in Iran on Friday, state media reported.

The incident occurred in the northern city of Langarud. The cause had not yet been determined, the ISNA news agency reported, citing local authorities.

The injured were taken to a local hospital.

The Shargh newspaper said that the director of the clinic had been detained along with other persons as part of the investigation.
