Skopje, 26 November 2021 (MIA) — Alternativa has authorized party president Afrim Gashi to communicate with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and all other political stakeholders including a possible new PM-designate on how to overcome the country's political gridlock, according to spokesman Orhan Murtezani after the party’s Friday session. Alternativa is a serious political party that has always known how to rise above its own interests, Murtezani said. The party leadership on Friday evening discussed the possibility of helping the ruling coalition resolve the current political gridlock and decided to give stability and continuity a chance so the country can hope for a date for EU membership, he pointed out. “We’d like to hear about their concept to resolve the crisis, whether there’s a will for a common government agenda, and whether the current government partners are willing to give up some of their power to create a balance of power. “From now on, everything depends on the talks,” Murtezani said, adding that the Alternativa central board members would make the final decision to enter the government. mr/
