Struga, 24 April 2024 (MIA) — People should freely vote for their chosen candidate, Alliance for Albanians leader Ziadin Sela said after casting his vote in the presidential election at a polling place in the Struga village of Livada's elementary school.

"My expectations for any elections are that democracy be fulfilled. This is very important. People should feel free to express their support for the candidate they think they should vote for," Sela told reporters after voting.

He said the atmosphere at the Livada polling place was democratic.

"This is how the atmosphere has always been and will be at this polling station in Livada," he said.

Sela also said he expected the Alliance for Albanians-backed presidential candidate to win. He added that he hoped that Election Day would proceed peacefully and that the results would be accepted. mr/
