Skopje, 7 January 2025 (MIA) - Asked about reports that former First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi is in Albania, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday all fugitives from justice should return to the country and face the evidence in order to determine if they are innocent.
“I wouldn’t like to speculate. But, I urge all fugitives from justice to return and face the facts, arguments and evidence at the judicial bodies so we can conclude if they are innocent of the things for which there are founded suspicions. I can’t reveal any details related to fugitives from justice,” Mickoski said asked if the Government is cooperating with the Albanian Government following reports that Grubi is in Albania.
An international arrest warrant was issued for former First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi, as well as the head of State Lottery, Perparim Bajrami, in relation to the alleged misappropriation of over EUR 8 million from the State Lottery.
