Skopje, 12 November 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Health Azir Aliu held on Wednesday a working meeting with World Bank Division Director for the Western Balkans Xiaoqing Yu, highlighting the Ministry's priorities in promoting public health.  

"The Ministry of Health is institutionally mobilized and committed to fundamental reforms in the primary health care system, including integration of the long-term care model. These two segments will be complemented by digitalization as a fundamental and comprehensive process of reforming the health care system," said Minister Aliu. 

The aim of these reforms is to advance health policies, improve access to health care services closer to home, and strengthen preventive health care.

Participants in the meeting discussed possibilities for the World Bank to provide analytical, technical, and financial support for these processes.
