Skopje, 9 May 2024 (MIA) - In a post on social media platform X on Thursday, the United States Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Aggeler, congratulated Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova on her victory in Wednesday’s presidential vote.
In the post, Aggeler described Siljanovska-Davkova's victory as a “historic election” of the first female president of North Macedonia and stressed that the US would continue to support the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
“My heartfelt congratulations to Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova on her historic election as the first female president of North Macedonia. Congratulations also to all those citizens who exercised their right to vote yesterday in presidential and parliamentary elections. The United States will continue to support your goals for the security, prosperity, and full Euro-Atlantic integration of this country,” Aggeler said.
