Skopje, 19 July 2024 (MIA) — US Ambassador Angela Aggeler and Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev held a meeting Friday to discuss their shared commitment to promoting good governance and an effective, nonpartisan public administration, according to an official press release.
Meeting participants also talked about strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation in public administration and management.
Discussion topics between the minister and the ambassador included initiatives to improve public and digital services and to promote transparency and accountability in government institutions.
"Aggeler strongly expressed her commitment to supporting our efforts to modernize our public administration and highlighted the importance of continuous partnership between the two countries," the release said.
Minchev agreed on the need for ongoing dialogue and cooperation in addressing common challenges and promoting common interests. He said an open dialogue was necessary with stakeholders also when developing laws and stressed the strong resolve for public administration reforms, welcoming support from the USA. mr/
