5th Golden Frame showcasing new Macedonian films to kick off

Skopje, 20 April 2023 (MIA) - A total of 13 Macedonian films shot in 2022 will be screened at the 5th edition of Golden Frame, which will be held 20-22 April 2023 in two locations in Skopje.
Organised by the Association of Film Professionals (DFRM), the event is devoted to free showcasing of Macedonian annual production of short, feature, documentary and animated films financed from the state budget and supported by the Film Agency.
Under the motto "In Our Film", three feature films, three documentaries and seven short films will be showcased at the Cinematheque of North Macedonia and Cinema Frosina.
The feature films include Teona Mitevska`s The Happiest Man in the World, produced by Sisters and Brother Mitevski, in co-production with Slovenian Vertigo, Croatian Terminal 3, Belgian Entre Chien et Loup, Bosnian SCCA/Pro.ba and Danish Beofilm, Darijan Pejovski’s Mimi, a Macedonian/Croatian/Montenegrin co-production between Skopje Film Studio, Maxima film and Giggling Goat Production, and Kristijan Risteski’s Snow White Dies in the End, a Macedonian/Cypriot co-production involving North Macedonia’s Vertigo Visual and Focus Pocus Films, as well as Cypriot Caretta Films.
During Golden Frame 2023, the Association will hold its annual meeting and will elect the director of the International Cinematographers' Film Festival Manaki Brothers for the next two years.
The Association will also continue with the implementation of its social programme Focus, intended for audiences who cannot visit cinemas due to various social restrictions, and it will organise film screenings in а student dormitory, а home for the elderly and а penitentiary.
