Skopje, 9 June 2023 (MIA) — The 3rd Skopje Brass Festival, which will run Friday through Sunday, will present three concerts, a seminar, a children's workshop and an exhibition of Buffet Crampon wind instruments, according to organizers.

The festival's opening-night headliner is the internationally renowned duo of Peter Steiner (trombone) and Constanze Hochwartner (piano), the Mak Brass Association said.

The Steiner–Hochwartner duo will perform at the Philharmonic on Friday evening. The next day, beginning at 10 pm, the musicians will hold a seminar.

Sunday's Skopje Brass Festival concerts will be held at two venues: in the City Park and at Central Bar on Macedonia Street.

On Sunday morning, a children's workshop will present various brass instruments through Disney song performances. A parade will follow, performed by City Brass Orchestra. Skopje Brass Quintet and Trombone Quartet will also perform.

The festival will close with performances by Brass Brothers and Brasstet at Central Bar.

Italian trombonist Peter Steiner was appointed Trombonist of the Vienna State Opera at the age of 23. He has performed as guest trombonist with the Munich Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, New York Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has given over 100 international performances, including a 3-month World Tour of the United States, Europe, Asia and South America with Constanze Hochwartner (piano/organ) as Duo Steiner-Hochwartner.

Austrian organist and pianist Constanze Hochwartner has given solo performances around the globe, including organ concerts in Europe, the United States and South America. In 2017, Constanze began collaborating with trombonist Peter Steiner and formed the Duo Steiner-Hochwartner. Their debut album "Sapphire" was released in July 2019 under the Berlin Classics label. Her second album "Binary Star," on which Constanze plays organ, was released in May 2021, again under the Berlin Classics label and in collaboration with Peter Steiner.
