29 bodies found after Nepal plane crash

Kathmandu, 15 January 2023 (dpa/MIA) – Twenty-nine bodies have been recovered after a plane crash in Nepal, police said.

“Efforts are under way to douse the fire and pull out the remaining bodies,” Rudra Thapa, a local police official stationed near the crash site told dpa.

Some 300 emergency personnel as well as members of the army were helping with the rescue effort.

There were over 70 people on board the plane.

In addition to Nepalese citizens, Indians, Russians, Koreans and one person each from Ireland, Argentina and France were on board, the Indian news agency ANI reported, citing airport authorities.
