Skopje, 15 October 2025 (MIA) -- The 18th Golden Lyre Chamber Music Festival opens Wednesday and will run through Oct. 30, presenting seven chamber concerts by acclaimed Macedonian musicians, organizers said.

Performers include the duos of Aleksandra Kocevska and Gligor Gelebeshev, Strasho Temkov and Elena Atanasovska Ivanovska, Daniel Apostolov and Darko Marinovski as well as the trios Academico and Animato.

Aiming to also promote young talents, the festival each year presents a recital by winners of the Ohrid Pearls International Competition for Young Musicians. This year's winner Gjorgji Dimovski will give a saxophone recital accompanied by Maja Bozhinoska on piano.

The festival will close with the awarding of the Golden Lyre award and a piano recital by Gligor Gelebeshev. Admission to all events is free.

The Golden Lyre Chamber Music Festival is organized by the Association of Music Artists of Macedonia with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. mr/
