Skopje, 7 May 2025 (MIA) — The 37th Skopje Book Fair will be held at Boris Trajkovski Arena from May 8 through 14 and will host 110 book launches organized by 65 publishers, Skopje Book Fair organizers told a press conference Tuesday.

The fair begins Thursday at 10 am, with Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov set to give a speech at the official opening at noon.

This year's book fair will promote contemporary Serbian literature, organizers said.

Also planned is a talk and a book signing by contemporary German author Sebastian Fitzek as well as children's creative workshops, scheduled for May 10-11.

Organizers expect over 30,000 visitors this year, including 12,000 school children.

Tickets are priced at Mden 100 for adults, Mden 50 for school children, and Mden 250 for three-time visitors. Entrance is free for children under 12 accompanied by a parent.

Mden 15 of each ticket will benefit the Skopje SOS Children's Village. mr/
