Skopje, 30 October 2021 (MIA) – The ballet ‘Giselle’ is set to premiere on Saturday at 8 pm at the National Opera and Ballet. ‘Giselle’ is a magical and timeless story of unrequited love, set to music by French composer Adolphe Adam. The choreography is adapted by Croatia’s Irena Pasarikj from the choreography of Jean Coralie, Jules Perot, Marius Petipa and Leonid Lavrovski. Ivan Eminovikj is the conductor. ‘Giselle’ stars Giselle: Marija Kihcevska Shokarovska, Albert: Vasily Chichiashvili (Georgia), Hilarion: Igor Velanoski, Mirta: Ivana Kocevska, Pa de de: Hristina Nakjevska, Andrew Cook (England), Mother: Marija Josifovska Ristovska, Batilda: Marija Brdaroska, Count: Aleksandar Petkovski, Escort of the Count: Dragan Kochoski. Only audience members who provide proof that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have recovered from the virus in the past 45 days can attend the ballet.
