Skopje, 6 September 2025 (MIA) - The “Free and Independent” movement presented on Saturday Vladimir Kunovski as their candidate for mayor of Skopje. The movement will also have a mayoral candidate in the Municipality of Chair, as well as candidates for council members in Butel, Chair, Gazi Baba, Aerodrom, Kisela Voda, Gjorche Petrov, Centar, and others.

“Since Skopje no longer looks like a city, but rather a polluted and dirty favela, we put forward Vision 2025 with guidelines on how the normalization of life in Skopje should proceed. The plans should be developed by the competent institutions to the benefit of and in close cooperation with the citizens, as well as associations and prominent experts. The movement ‘Free and Independent’ is composed of long-time civic activists from the associations No Pasaran, People Over Profit, and Preventiva, and is politically represented by the Workers’ Party Skopje,” the movement said in a press release.
