National electricity production covers 79 percent of consumption in March: statistics

Skopje, 28 May 2024 (MIA) - Total consumption by types of energy commodities in March 2024 was 576.974 MWh of electricity, 22,692 mil. nm3 of natural gas, 454.378 tonnes of coal and 81.059 tonnes of petroleum products, said the State Statistical Office on Tuesday.

Gross national electricity production participated with 79% of gross national electricity consumption, while 98.1 % of the total national consumption of coal was used for generation of electricity.
