London, 15 September 2026 (dpa/MIA) - Oil prices rose in early trading on Tuesday after falling the previous evening, with the price of a barrel of North Sea Brent crude for November delivery climbing more than 1.7% to $107.48 in the morning.
The so-called East-West Pipeline, an important Saudi oil route and an alternative to shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, was shut down last week following attacks. State-owned Saudi Aramco has not yet given a date for resuming operations.
Brent crude has risen by almost 76% this year as the US-Iran war has spread across the oil-rich region, ships in the Strait of Hormuz have been attacked and oilfields have been forced to shut down.
The diplomatic situation remains tense. While US President Donald Trump recently stated once again that Iran wants a deal, Tehran has named the fulfilment of its conditions as a prerequisite for talks.
