Skopje, 29 June 2025 (MIA) -- At its second party congress held earlier Sunday, the ZNAM Movement unanimously re-elected Maksim Dimitrievski as its leader.

Thanking fellow party members, Dimitrievski said his intention was to create new leaders and work for and with the citizens.

"We have undertaken a great responsibility," he said. "This is not a game or an attempt. This is to create something new because Macedonia deserves it." 

In his speech, Dimitrievski said voters would decide if ZNAM was meeting their expectations.

"It is our turn now. The people are watching and judging us. If we work well, we will gain their support. If they think we are making mistakes, they will always warn us through their votes.

"ZNAM is not VMRO-DPMNE or even less SDSM, or what it has whittled down to. We are not any other political party at the Macedonian political scene. We are the people's loudspeaker," he said, adding that the current government deserved a chance because the people had voted for it.

Dimitrievski also urged all party members to honor the rule of law and do their jobs with dedication and integrity so that, he said, "we can finally uproot corruption." mr/
