New York, 25 September 2025 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski, who is accompanying President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova during her working visit to New York, said the visit, in addition to the ongoing activities at the UN, is largely dedicated to both European integration and regional cooperation.

“I had a bilateral meeting with the foreign minister of Cyprus, whose country will take over the EU presidency in January. We discussed the need for enhanced coordination that is in our interest – to finally open the negotiations process with the EU – in addition to discussing bilateral cooperation, the potentials we have in tourism, trade and political cooperation,” Mucunski stated after yesterday’s meetings in New York.

He attended events related to several regional initiatives, a breakfast organized by the Italian foreign minister and a lunch organized by the Regional Cooperation Council, MIA reports from New York.

“Most importantly, we are taking every opportunity to affirm our positions and to spread what matters to us as a political message in New York,” said Minister Mucunski.
