Voters given access to electoral roll for check-up

Skopje, 23 August 2025 (MIA) – Ahead of the October 19 local elections, voters starting Saturday can check-up the electoral roll to see whether their names and addresses are registered. The process lasts 20 days ending on September 11 at midnight. The State Election Commission (SEC) should conclude the electoral role by October 3 at the latest.

At a session yesterday, SEC president Boris Kondarko urged voters to check up the electoral roll at the Commission’s regional offices from 8 am until 8 pm every day, including weekends and holidays.

“Every day, after work hours, the regional offices will send us daily information and we will publish the data the next day to reveal how many voters have used this right,” he said. 

Voters can submit a request for entry, addition or deletion of data in the extracts of the electoral roll that are available for public inspection in writing to the SEC regional office or local office in their area of ​​residence, or by e-mail to the SEC. The request should be accompanied by the requested evidence. Requests for entry, addition or deletion of data in the electoral roll should be submitted in the period from August 23 to September 11. 

Prisoners can also check up the electoral roll to see whether their personal information is registered. 

Undergoing changes after the public check-up ends, the SEC has 15 days to conclude the electoral roll by September 26 at the latest. The SEC signs the concluded electoral roll 15 days before elections are held, in this case by October 3 at the latest.
