VMRO-DPMNE's lists of councilors win around 301.000 votes nationwide, SDSM 125.000, NAI 114.000, Vlen 91.000, Levica 57.000, ZNAM 38.000 

Skopje, 20 October 2025 (MIA) - According to preliminary unofficial data from the State Election Commission, ruling party VMRO-DPMNE has won the most votes for candidates for council members across the country at Sunday’s local elections.

With 3.471 of 3.474 total polling stations processed, or 99.91%, VMRO-DPMNE has received the backing of 301.919 voters, while main opposition party SDSM won 125.824 votes.

The DUI-led National Alliance for Integration (NAI) is in third with 114.246 votes, while Vlen won 91.242 votes.

Levica’s councilors received the support of 57.063 voters nationwide, while ZNAM received 38.421 votes. The coalition Experience for Success (GROM, LDP, Integra, PCER) won 13.000 votes.

According to the SEC, a total of 883.937 citizens voted at the local elections, amounting to a turnout of 48.29 percent. There were 49.957 spoilt ballots.
