Skopje, 7 April 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski is taking part in the Strategic Dialogue between North Macedonia and the United States in Washington on Tuesday, a significant platform for enhancement of bilateral cooperation, with a focus on security, rule of law and institutional development.

In the framework of the Dialogue, the Ministry of Interior puts strong emphasis on border security, fight against organized crime, illegal migration and drug trafficking, as well as enhancement of intelligence cooperation with counterpart services.

"The Strategic Dialogue is an important process that brings concrete results for the security of our citizens. This partnership ensures safer borders, more efficient fight against crime and resilient institutions," said Minister Toshkovski.

The United States is providing support in the amount of US$ 3.5 million for strengthening the Ministry's capacities, a direct investment in the country's security. In addition, the U.S. provides technical support, training and upgrading of systems in the field of cybersecurity, for the purpose of more efficient protection of institutions and critical infrastructure.

The United States remains the most important strategic partner and strong ally in the reinforcement of security, stability and democratic capacities, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
