Prilep, 13 July 2025 (MIA) - Two people, a father and son, were shot and killed, and the murderer then killed himself last night in Prilep. According to initial information, a 63-year-old man from Prilep first killed his 43-year-old nephew and the nephew's 11-year-old son, due to family friction and unresolved property issues, and then took his own life.

"The father and son went to the uncle's house on Stevan Apostoloski street around 3 to 4 p.m. There was no one else in the house except the uncle. The uncle had previously given the house to his nephew. It is not known what happened in the following hours, but it is known that the father and his 11-year-old son were killed with a gun before the police arrived around 10 p.m. This was determined as neighbours heard gunshots," said public prosecutor Stevcho Binoski.

The murdered man's wife had called the police after becoming concerned that her husband and son had been missing for hours. The police arrived at the house around 10 p.m. and when they tried to enter, the killer threw a bomb at them that partially exploded, but did not cause any injuries.
"The police engaged the Tiger unit, which then entered the house at around 1 a.m. and found the three dead bodies," said public prosecutor Stevcho Binoski, who inspected the scene of the tragedy that shocked Prilep.
An autopsy has been ordered on the three bodies.
