Shtip, 12 September 2025 (MIA) - Three people have died, while two are left injured after a van carrying workers fell off a bridge on the Shtip-Radovish expressway near the village of Lakavica early on Friday.

Shtip-based health center director Goran Andonov has told MIA that two people died on the spot, while another succumbed to the injuries soon after. According to preliminary information, the workers are from Bangladesh hired by a Strumica-based company.

One worker and the van driver were injured in the crash.

Shtip Clinical Hospital director Vladko Zahariev has told MIA that one person is currently being treated for injuries by their doctors.
