Skopje, 14 September 2025 (MIA) - The Skopje Prosecutor's Office has requested the Army's nuclear, biological and chemical protection unit to conduct measurements for detection of chemical and toxic air contamination from the Trubarevo fire.

The preliminary measurements have been submitted to the office, with results from the measurements by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning pending, the prosecutor's office said in a press release.

The public prosecutor has also issued orders to secure the documents related to the operations of the company that used the facilities.

An expertise of the facilities will follow, in order to determine the type of contamination and the consequences of the pollution. There are currently no conditions to carry out an on-site investigation, whereas the MoI is charged with restricting the access of all unauthorized persons, reads the press release.
