Skopje, 12 August 2025 (MIA) - On the occasion of International Youth Day - August 12, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova hosted young people from Ohrid at the Villa Biljana on Tuesday.

Youth Center Ohrid representatives, Youth Council Ohrid members, top students from the three high schools in the city, creators of the TrashPinger app, participants in international youth exchanges, as well as members of the Summer Guitar School and the Summer Art School at the Youth Center Ohrid attended the meeting, the President's Office said in a press release. 

"The young people presented their IT skills, as well as their talents in painting, dance and music. The top high school students shared their experiences from school and their plans for the future, while the participants in the international exchange shared the positive experiences from the visit," reads the press release. 

For the President, Ohrid will become more beautiful if young people are empowered to use their knowledge, minds, and talents as a source of new ideas. Adults must enable young people to participate in managing the present if they want to build a better future.

Participants in the meeting shared a common message stressing the importance of adopting amendments to the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies.
