SEC: Voter turnout 39.28% nationwide, 28.52% in Skopje by 5 pm

Skopje, 2 November 2025 (MIA) – Voter turnout in Sunday’s local election runoff stands at 39.28% nationwide and 28.52% in Skopje until 5 pm, State Election Commission (SEC) spokesperson Radica Todorovska Aleksovska told a press conference. The highest voter turnout was recorded in Konche (64.44%), and the lowest turnout in Saraj (8.77%). 

In Skopje, 134,586 voters had voted, with information received from 682 polling stations (99.56%). 

Voter turnout by municipalities in the City of Skopje was as follows: Aerodrom 36%, Butel 22.90%, Gazi Baba 25.79%, Gjorche Petrov 29%, Karposh 40.73%, Kisela Voda 34.48%, Saraj 8.77%, Centar 39.44%, Chair 12.08%, and Shuto Orizari 25.82%. 

In the first round of the local elections, turnout stood at 39.62% in Skopje by 5 pm.

According to the SEC, 279,241 citizens had cast their ballots based on data covering 96.94% of polling stations nationwide. 

Voter turnout by municipalities nationwide was as follows: Bogovinje 34.53%, Brvenica 48.87%, Valandovo 53.23%, Vinica 40.68%, Debar 35.91%, Debrca 51.04%, Demir Kapija 62.71%, Dojran 62.96%, Dolneni 45.69%, Zrnovci 45.77%, Kichevo 48.63%, Konche 64.44%, Kochani 34.04%, Krushevo 61.89%, Kumanovo 27.72%, Lozovo 62.78%, Makedonska Kamenica 45.49%, Makedonski Brod 46.95%, Mogila 39.81%, Negotino 46.03%, Probishtip 61.25%, Rankovce 58.03%, Rosoman 63.58%, Struga 35.42%, Studenichani 38.82%, Tetovo 39.74%, Cheshinovo-Obleshevo 49.80%, and Chucher Sandevo 51.13%. 

The highest voter turnout by 5 pm was recorded in Konche (64.44%), as well as in Dojran (62.96%), Demir Kapija (62.71%), Krushevo (61.89%), and Rosoman (63.58%), while the lowest turnout in Saraj (8.77%), Shuto Orizari (25.82%), and Kumanovo (27.72%). 

Todorovska Aleksovska added that so far, no major irregularities or violations have been reported to the SEC.
