Skopje, 12 November 2025 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) at its session on Wednesday declared the 2025 local elections officially completed.

SEC members also adopted the amendment to the conclusion on final results of the second round of voting for the election of mayors of municipalities and mayor of the City of Skopje, as well as the conclusion of final results of the 2025 local elections for the election of members of the municipal councils, the City of Skopje Council and mayors of municipalities and the mayor of the City of Skopje.

SEC head Boris Kondarko noted that today is the deadline to adopt the conclusion on final results, after the SEC officially received on Tuesday the decisions of the Administrative Court rejecting all lawsuits, i.e. confirming the SEC's decisions rejecting previously issued complaints.

"This conclusion on the final results of the 2025 local elections reads: With the announcement of the final results of the voting in the first round conducted on October 19, 2025, and the final results of the voting in the second round conducted on November 2, 2025, for the election of members of the municipalities and the Council of the City of Skopje and mayors of the municipalities and the mayor of the City of Skopje, the SEC notes that pursuant to Article 31, paragraph 2, item 22 of the Electoral Code, the 2025 local elections as of today, November 12, 2025, are finally and officially completed," said Kondarko. 

At its 157th session on Wednesday, the SEC also adopted an amendment to the conclusion on final results of the second round of voting for the election of mayors of municipalities, mayor of the City of Skopje, held on November 2, 2025, for the respective municipalities where voting in the second round took place.
