Skopje, 1 November 2025 (MIA) - Out of a total of 4,826 sick or infirm people eligible to vote in the second round of local elections, 3,327 had cast their ballots by 8 pm, the State Election Commission (SEC) said.

“By 6:30 pm, 588 out of 1,256 persons serving sentences or in pre-trial detention in 14 correctional facilities had exercised their right to vote. Additionally, 125 of the 214 individuals residing in non-family facilities had cast their votes,” SEC said.

According to the SEC press release, voting for all these categories of voters proceeded without obstacles, problems, or irregularities.

Ballots cast today will not be counted separately; they will be sealed and included in tomorrow’s voting, after which they will be published as part of the overall results.

“The counting of these ballots and the announcement of today’s voting results will be done together with the complete election results tomorrow after 19:00, for every polling station and municipality where voting is held,” the SEC said.
