Skopje, 20 July 2025 (MIA) - Doctor Sasho Kedev has summited peak Gasherbrum-I (G1) in Pakistan and became the first Macedonian to reach all 14 peaks over 8,000 meters (eight-thousanders) on all continents.
Imagine Nepal-led G1 Expedition 2025 team successfully summited the 8,080-meter peak at 10:44 AM PKT on Sunday. The summit team included Sashko Kedev of Macedonia, Wang Zhong of China, Dawa Gyalje Sherpa and Ngima Nuru Sherpa of Nepal.

"The summit marks a historic milestone for Dr. Sashko Kedev, who has now become the first climber from Macedonia to complete all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks. G1, the 11th-highest mountain on Earth, was the final challenge on his journey through the world’s highest summits," said Imagine Nepal.
It adds that Kedev’s accomplishment places him among the most elite climbers in the world.
"With G1, he has now climbed all the 14 eight-thousanders: Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Shishapangma, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum II, and now Gasherbrum I," says Imagine Nepal.
