Pustec municipality gets free Wi-Fi within WiFi4WB project

Debar, 13 September 2025 (MIA) - Albania's Pustec municipality has received free and fast Wi-Fi within the WiFi4WB project.

This initiative is implemented through the EU4Digital Initiative, co-funded by the EU and the Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, implemented by German development agency GIZ.

This strategic step is not only a link to the internet but an investment in the economic, tourism and digital development of the region. Wi-Fi points will be set up at six locations, ensuring citizens and visitors with free and quality internet access, said Pustec municipality.

It adds this will make Pustec more connected, more developed and more attactive for tourists, whose number is continuallhy rising.

The EU4Digital Initiative inclues setting up free Wi-Fi points in 500 municipalities across the Western Balkans.

Situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Prespa, Pustec is home to much of the Macedonian minority in Albania.
