Skopje, 22 November 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova has congratulated fellow ethnic Albanian citizens on November 22-Albanian Alphabet Day, saying the day is a strong symbol of the educating efforts, cultural maturity and history of the Albanian people.
"117 years ago, the unified alphabet began its journey from the Bitola Congress, as the most important communication code of a nation. The language and its alphabet are fundamental values that shape the collective identity and strengthen the spiritual bond across generations. Respect for the language and the alphabet of every community strengthens the social cohesion and brings the Macedonian multiethnic society together. The Albanian language is part of the rich mosaic of diversities and is an investment in the future of our common homeland," President Siljanovska Davkova says in the note.
She adds that the day validates the community's continued contribution in the development of education and culture in the society.
"We continue to build the country together, in the spirit of respect, equality and unity. Urime Dita e Alfabetit të Gjuhës Shqipe," says Siljanovska Davkova.
