Skopje, 8 June 2025 (MIA) - The Government will take a decision next week for transferring the Ponikva resort near Kochani to the Ministry of Health, repurposing it into a facility for continued medical care and rehabilitation of the people injured in the Kochani nightclub fire.

Government Spokeswoamn Marija Miteva told a press conference on Sunday that the resort, currently operated by the Ministry of Interior, has 27 rooms and 56 beds, located in a natural and calm environment, making it suitable for the patients' tratment.

"These are patients who have already been stabilized but require further treatment. They will be divided into several groups and given personalized programmes," said Miteva.

She added that the measure represents an institutionalized response, "because there is nothing more important than a human life and the people's dignity".
