Skopje, 10 September 2025 (MIA) - The members of Parliament’s Committee on Oversight of the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Intelligence Agency (IA) who hold a security clearance will visit the NSA on Wednesday and review the documents they are presented, the Committee decided at a session Wednesday.
At the beginning of the session, Levica MP Jovana Mojsoska stressed she wouldn’t vote for the item because, she said, there have been abuses during the term of the NSA’s new head and that the practice of not granting a security clearance on the level of state secret to opposition MPs is continuing.
“In my case specifically, I submitted a request for a state secret security clearance more than six months ago. Even though the Law on Classified Information states that I should receive a response within six months, I am yet to do so,” Mojsoska said.

SDSM MP Slavjanka Petrovska said as a representative of SDSM and the opposition she will back the oversight of the NSA and IA. She said she feels a duty to note to the public that it won’t be possible to share the details if the NSA remains of the position that they should not be declassified.
“We won’t be able to provide an answer to dozens of questions that have been rightly posed by various stakeholders recently. But still, even in such conditions, I said we would participate in the oversight of the NSA and IA,” Petrovska said.
The session was chaired by MP Blerim Bexheti. In addition to their visit to the NSA, the members also voted to visit the Intelligence Agency on Thursday.
