Osmani: Mobile hospital team to offer free checkups to Chair residents

Skopje, 11 October 2025 (MIA) — The National Alliance for Integration's candidate for Chair Municipality mayor, Bujar Osmani, presented his plans for public health projects in Chair at a press conference earlier Saturday.

Announcing a new approach to local health policy, Osmani said he would introduce a mobile hospital team offering free checkups for residents.

"This is very important, not only for detecting individual cases but also for increasing general awareness," Osmani said.

In addition, he said, medical teams of doctors and nurses would be visiting seniors and people living alone.

Osmani also announced introducing special women's health programs, which would focus on the early detection of breast cancer and on providing support for women's physical and mental health.

Osmani's vision for Chair's public health care was based on prevention, he said, insted of "expensive and delayed interventions."

He said the current public health situation in the municipality was concerning.

"Thirty percent of children in Chair have multiple chronic lung diseases due to the dirt, due to the dust on our streets," he said. mr/
