Osmani: Early parliamentary elections in March or April

Osmani: Early parliamentary elections in March or April

Skopje, 9 October 2025 (MIA) - DUI’s candidate for Mayor of the Municipality of Chair, Bujar Osmani, responded Thursday to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski’s statement on potential early parliamentary elections after the local elections, saying it confirmed his assessments that such elections would be held in March or April of next year.

“It is what we have been saying from the very beginning, that yes, there will be early parliamentary elections sometime in March or April. And I am saying this on the basis of arguments, on the basis of all discussions and agreements that exist on the political scene,” Osmani said.

Osmani said the PM’s statement only confirms that the current Government is “unstable and unsustainable”.

“Of course, the Prime Minister probably needed additional arguments which he is now seeing on the ground, in terms of the strength and what is happening right now. The situation is unsustainable, and that’s why he has also started to prepare the ground,” Osmani said.

The DUI candidate said early parliamentary elections would be an opportunity to elect a new government with a clear European and economic focus.

“I guarantee that there will be early parliamentary elections in March-April and there will be a new government that will unblock the European process, and restore coexistence and the country’s economic prosperity,” Osmani said.
