Nikoloski in working visit to Athens, focus on better regional connectivity

Skopje, 23 September 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski is starting Tuesday a two-day working visit to Athens, for working meetings with top officials of the Greek Government.
As part of the visit, a meeting is scheduled with Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, the Minister of Infrastructure and transport Christos Dimas, and with the Alternate Minister of Infrastructure and MP Konstantinos Kyranakis. In addition, Nikoloski will meet with the management of the Port of Piraeus.
Talks will focus on the economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as better regional connectivity. The construction of the high-speed railway on Corridor 10 will also be discussed, which will greatly contribute to the development of trade and exchange between the two countries, and will also represent a main artery connecting Greek ports with Central Europe, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.
As part of the meetings, topics will be opened on improving traffic on Corridor 10 and 10-d, increasing efficiency in road and rail transport, promoting air traffic, as well as advancing regional cooperation.
