Nikoloski - Bryant: Macedonia and UK enjoy stable economic and political relations, high level of trade cooperation

Skopje, 21 October 2025 (MIA) - Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski and Sir Chris Bryant, Minister of State at the United Kingdom's Department for Business and Trade, agreed Tuesday in London that Macedonia and the UK enjoy stable economic and political relations and high level of trade cooperation.

The Macedonian delegation also included Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska.

Nikoloski said Macedonia is about to realize huge infrastructure projects in the sector of railway and road transport, infrastructure and healthcare, supported by the UK government through the bilateral cooperation agreement, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

According to him, investments and transfer of experience and know-how arising from the agreement would bring the countries closer to establishing strategic partnerships and realization of regional infrastructure projects.

"This cooperation represents a new chapter in the strategic investment partnership between Macedonia and Great Britain," said Nikoloski while noting that UK investments have a strong impact on the growth of the Macedonian economy.

Interlocutors also discussed the latest developments in the bilateral economic ties, with a focus on projects realized within the cooperation agreement and the UK support in this regard.

The meeting took place in the framework of the visit of the Government delegation, led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, which is set to take part at the 2025 Berlin Process Summit of Western Balkans countries, reads the press release.
