Washington, 29 May 2025 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Relations and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is scheduled to meet Thursday with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 9:30 EST (15:30 CET), according to the US Department of State.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, speaking in Parliament earlier Thursday, also announced the meeting between Mucunski and Rubio.

The country's top diplomat has met his US counterpart briefly on the sidelines of the recent NATO foreign ministerial meeting in Brussels. Writing on social media, Mucunski at the time said their meeting had been "short but very productive."

"We agreed on the importance of further strengthening our political dialogue at the high level," he wrote.

Mucunski is currently on a visit to the USA to attend the Spring 2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Dayton, Ohio, marking 30 years since the Dayton Accords were signed, ending the Bosnian War in 1995. mr/
