Mucunski meets with members of the Macedonian diaspora in Switzerland

Skopje, 4 September 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, who is paying a working visit to Geneva, last night met with members of the Macedonian diaspora.
“It was a special honor, on the first day of the working visit to Geneva, together with the numerous Macedonian diaspora, to mark Independence Day – September 8. In my speech, I stressed the importance of the Macedonian diaspora as a bridge between the two countries – encouraging close cultural and economic ties, and as a guardian of the identity and the values of our country. I thanked for all the initiatives, projects and activities of the Macedonian community in Switzerland and I confirmed the government’s commitment to improving the ties with Macedonians around the world through the institutions and through concrete measures,” Mucunski said in a Facebook post.

As part of the visit, Minister Mucunski will address the Young Leaders Summit, organized by the World Economic Forum in Geneva, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
He is also scheduled to open the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of North Macedonia in Geneva.
“Bilateral meetings are also planned with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Director of the Geneva Center for Security Policy, as well as the Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues at the United Nations Human Rights Council,” said the press release.
