Skopje, 27 May 2025 (MIA) - At the invitation of US Congressman Michael Turner, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski attended and addressed the closing plenary session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Spring Session in Dayton, marking the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accord.

As Mucunski wrote on Facebook, the event serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of diplomacy in achieving lasting peace and stability in the Balkans.
"In my address, I underscored the need to preserve regional stability, noting that modern security threats require a coordinated approach, stronger international engagement, and even closer cooperation among Western Balkan countries. European and Euro-Atlantic integration remains crucial for ensuring long-term peace, development, and resilience against external influences," Mucunski wrote on Facebook.

Speaking about the upcoming NATO Summit in the Hague, he stressed that deterrence is not achieved through declarations, but through investment, determination and credible capabilities.
“Unity must be functional, not merely declarative. Let The Hague be a summit of determination, one that delivers real capabilities, not just statements,” Mucunski wrote on Facebook.
