Skopje, 2 November 2025 (MIA) - The 2025 local elections are taking place in a peaceful, fair and democratic atmosphere across the country. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is taking measures and activities within its scope of competences to ensure a safe and uninterrupted election process.  

According to MoI spokesperson Goce Andreevski, no major disruptions of public peace and order have been logged so far. "There were few reports of undue influence on voters, but after measures were taken by police officers, the allegations have been unproven so far," he said. 

The Interior Ministry, he noted, urges the citizens and the political parties to contribute to a peaceful and democratic election process. 

"Citizens should report any violations of the election process to the nearest police station or by calling 192 or 112," said Andreevski.
