MoI: 10 reports of election silence violation, six weren't confirmed
- During election silence until 7 am this morning, that is until the opening of polling stations, ten reports of election silence being violated were registered, including three each in Skopje and Ohrid, two in Shtip and one each in Tetovo and Bitola. After measures were taken, six reports couldn’t be confirmed, Goce Andreevski, Interior Ministry’s spokesman, said Sunday.
Skopje, 2 November 2025 (MIA) – During election silence until 7 am this morning, that is until the opening of polling stations, ten reports of election silence being violated were registered, including three each in Skopje and Ohrid, two in Shtip and one each in Tetovo and Bitola. After measures were taken, six reports couldn’t be confirmed, Goce Andreevski, Interior Ministry’s spokesman, said Sunday.
“In addition, 19 social media posts were reported during election silence, in which voters were urged to vote for certain candidates as well as videos and photos were posted from parties organizing activities in headquarters. As regards yesterday’s voting, an event involving a photo taken of a cob with the ballots in July 26 elementary school in Shuto Orizari was reported after which a person was arrested. Measures are being taken to investigate the case,” said Andreevski.
He said that no violations were reported during yesterday’s voting of sick and infirmed people as well as inmates in all areas.
